Honesty about our confusion is the first step.

I have many blind spots and am a confused Christian? Are you with me? If you were a confused about something, would you want to know?

The aim of this series is to reveal with simple questions the true and counterfeit meanings of traditional religious words and experiences.

Jesus commanded his audience to be fruit inspectors.
What is flawlessly consistent about you?
Hint: My behavior is not flawless. Thus the fruit cannot be behavior.

Step 1 -Are you approved to do good works?
You must be a pure person to be qualified to do good works.
Step 2 - Good works require good focus.
Good focus means paying attention to the right teacher.
Who is your teacher for good works: grace or  law?
Surprise: Paul says grace is the teacher of good works.
GRACE  = FLAWLESSNESS + SUBSTITUTION = JESUS

Our love is God's job.
Our job is to put on the heart of God.
We do that by looking up to Christ as the door into God's presence.
His flawlessness and substitution are our hope and life.
