About All Saints Church - Our vision: Christ is all of life for all people.
We gather as All Saints Church
We welcome and encourage children to be with us in our meetings. Feel free to dress casually, come or leave as need be, and to bring your children!
On the first Sunday of every month we partake of the Lord's Supper. We welcome all present to join us in remembering and proclaiming the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ as all we need for life, salvation and righteousness. Following the Lord's Supper, all are welcome to join us for a potluck. Even if you don't come prepared with a dish, you are still more than welcome to join with us!
We believe the cross of Christ declares God's sin-bearing love for sinners, and reveals God's open heart of forgiveness and grace toward all people no matter who they are. For this reason, our vision at All Saints Church is to learn to live in this revelation of God's love through Jesus Christ, and to see this truth of His grace for ourselves and for others. This good news is so amazing that we want to make much of it, and to keep this truth at the center of all that we do. Knowing God through Christ crucified, and experiencing fellowship with God and with others in that knowledge, is central for us.
We also believe the Church is much bigger than our little gathering. As Christians who have been baptized into one body by one Spirit, we stand together with all the saints in every age and in every place. We seek to encourage people to think bigger about what the Church is, and to pray for other Christian gatherings in our local community as well as around the world.
The name "All Saints" signifies two important truths. First, all believers in Jesus Christ are saints (i.e. holy, sanctified ones). According to the Bible, a saint is not a special kind of Christian--a title reserved only for a few highly virtuous people. All Christians, simply because they believe in Christ, are set apart from the world, and are sanctified by the blood of Christ. Secondly, a Christian does not only belong to a local body of believers, but is a member of the universal Body of Christ, and stands in unity with all saints in every age and in every place.
LIFE TOGETHER: We stand in the love and grace of Christ with all saints, in all traditions, across all cultures, and across all time.
A saint is a person who has rested in Christ's death on the cross as all that is needed to be fully right with God forever.
"...being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." -Romans 3:24
Grace is life in the faithfulness of Christ, free from the pressure of personal performance.
"To love a person means to see him as God intended him to be." -Fyodor Dostoevsky
